Poonam has been working in health and mental health research for 6 years. With masters degrees in both Social Welfare and Public Health, she understands how to frame research so that it highlights both what occurs on structural, systemic levels and the impacts on communities and individuals. She brings a keen eye for detail, flexibility, and a service provider’s understanding of the social determinants of health.

- The historical medical mismanagement of people with intersex traits
- Conflicts of interest in medicine
- The efficacy of suicide hotlines in reducing callers’ suicidality
- Women’s disclosure of abortions and experiences of abortion stigma
